Syd, the technician who performed the work on my furnace and heat pump, was very knowledgeable and explained the work she performed and the remaining work to be done once parts were ordered.
I received a call from accounting the day following the service call to tell me they had forgotten to add a
"Prevailing Wage Intent/Affidavit Fee # ($80.00) 1.00 $80.00 $80.00" which I wasn't told about in advance. I asked about the fee and whether that money went to the technicians and was told it did not, but is was something added to the bill when they were doing business with a State Agency. I also asked whether their employees were union employees, but the representative on the phone wouldn't answer the question. I was told the manager was going to call me about the fee and I never heard back from them.

Annual maintenance done today. Was able to schedule for same day service. Eric did a wonderful job. Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. Shared what he was doing, answered our questions, & encouraged us to ask any other questions at anytime. Went over invoice & forms to sign to when done. Left area clean & neat.

Update: After writing this review I was contacted the next business day. The lead CS representative sent out a new tech who resolved the issue (the prior tech didn't shut off the valve) and determined there was no leak once the key valve was decommissioned. Barron cut the $500 fee in half, and I am satisfied with how the issue was resolved. Thanks for the help guys.

I've used Baron for years but things have gotten out of hand with their billing and customer service. I called them about a gas leak, showed them where it was leaking, was charged $500, and they didn't fix the leak or cut off the gas to the fireplace. When I challenged the fee the customer service representative was angry and combative. I'll take my business elsewhere moving forward.

Jan 29, 24 Barron came out today for our furnace check. Shawn was so friendly and efficient, yet took the time to gently explain our options. Our old gas furnace is hanging in there, but we talked about inevitable next steps and options. He also helped us understand how we might reduce our general dust load in the house, and comparisons between heat pump or electric replacement.

Very good appointment today. Highly recommend the heating department at Barron. In the end, bought another year service/benefits from Shawn.

We have had Barron come out several times to our home. Each time, the latest technician is our favorite. And, once again today, we purchased another service agreement, as our gas furnace is old. If something happens in the middle of a cold winter, someone will come out right away.

Today, Jim came by and made our gas fireplace even more effective and even cleaner than the last tech. He also checked our gas furnace, per annual agreement. But he also took time to listen to our desire to switch to a heat pump. I read in the reviews that this is being done.

The only department we have been unhappy with was plumbing. We asked for someone to come out and install some new toilets and they estimated a ridiculous price. We got it done with a different company for a fraction of the charge.

All in all, we are very happy with Barron. Thank you for your expertise.
